Year 6 were set a challenge to construct obstacle courses and dens using a range of materials outside in the glorious sunshine.
On Monday 17th July was Key Stage 2 Sports Day. It was a fantastic day and great team effort by all.
Year 6 became designers and engineers this week when they learned how a Nissan car was made from the initial design right through to it driving out of the car showroom in a fun and engaging series of workshops.

Year 3 and 5 have been taken part in the Onside programme, ran by Newcastle United foundation. The Onside programme is a 6 week course that focuses on British Values and key issues that may arise. The children have learned about issues such as racism, bullying, disability and discrimination.
Year 6 had the unique opportunity to meet Gill Arbuthnott, author of the fascinating book “A beginner’s guide to Earth”. A book that they studying in English as part of Newcastle’s “Literacy Works.
Everyone at WGH went hopping mad for Red Nose Day completing a whole school skipathon.
Year 3 and 4 have been getting creative with their writing thanks to the online digital learning tool The Night Zoo Keeper.
