NPQH Training Provider

Experiential and work based learning is a core element within the NPQH modular curriculum. In NPQH this learning takes place in both the home school and placement school. For Final Assessment participants are expected to complete two school based projects; one in their substantive (home) school and one in their placement school.
To capitalise on what is known about the power and significance of role modelling, it is important to ensure that every trainee headteacher has the experience of working and learning alongside a good or outstanding headteacher. Given the diverse nature of the current educational context and increased autonomy within the system, it is important also to provide all aspiring heads with the opportunity to learn in a different context to their current workplace.
Moorside Community Primary School is a strategic partner of the North East Teaching Schools Partnership (NETSP) who have been awarded a licence to deliver NPQH training by the National College. Our aim is to foster a system in which our best leaders in our best schools and academies are in the driving seat of leadership development across the system. We want to enable the best schools and academies, partnered with a range of other providers, to deliver leadership development provision.
