KS2 SATs results 2015

Background

The government’s floor standards for 2015 are defined as:
• 65% of children achieving L4+ in all of reading, writing and maths
• % of children making expected or better progress in reading is at or above the national median, to be published in December 2015 – in 2014 the national median was 94%
• % of children making expected or better progress in writing is at or above the national median, to be published in December 2015 – in 2014 the national median was 96%
• % of children making expected or better progress in maths is at or above the national median, to be published in December 2015 – in 2014 the national median was 93%

To be deemed to be failing to meet the government’s floor target, a school must be below in all 4 measures.

KS1 results 2015, including Phonics screening check

Unlike KS2 there are no national floor standards for results at KS1, however in 2014 National percentages were as follows:

  • 90% achieving L2+ with 81% achieving L2b+ in reading
  • 86% achieving L2+ with 70% achieving L2b+ in writing
  • 92% achieving L2+ with 80% achieving L2b+ in maths
  • Judgements were moderated within the Federation and deemed to be accurate.
  • 69% achieving the required level in the Phonics screening check in year 1
